  1. I greet you all with the grace and peace poured into our lives by God our father and our Master, Jesus Christ. The God of Glory (Ephesians 1:2).
  1. 23RD September movement is a day that ACTV HQ and Board has chosen to associate with all good works done at ACTV. Contextual names such as Appraisals, Director’s day or Awards day have predominantly came into play.
  1. It is both ubuntuism and christianity to celebrate good works, especially efforts that are directed towards the transformation of people’s lives from present state to a better state. John Ruskin, says “the highest reward for a man’s toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it.”
  1. This appraisal tool was designed not only to announce but to celebrate those who have done well in mentoring our children and to encourage everyone within ACTV structures to follow the suite.
  1. Successful mentoring of ACTV children does not only credit our professional CVs but it is also a major contribution in building our country Zimbabwe.
  1. His Excellency, the president and commander in chief Dr ED Mnangagwa in his mantra said “a country is built by its owners, brick after brick.”
  1. In respect to the mantra I therefore inform the ACTV members of staff that their efforts are not in vain. I subscribe to the philosophy that says the best gift you can award your children is education. The best legacy you can leave behind at national level is to immensely contribute in educating people.
  1. To qualify the above statement , go around the world you will see how Zimbabweans are adored for their education, thanks to those who travelled the road ahead of us setting such high standards and the majority of such people are late now, the likes of Prof. Makhurane,   Susan Dangarembwa, President RG Mugabe and others, MTSRIP.
  1. ACTV is an organization with people of diverse qualities and abilities all put together for the benefit of our learners. To those given offices to run please note that this is an opportunity to grow and emit your talent. An unknown writer says, “…the graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled.” Obviously the untapped talent is found on the graves too.
  1. It is on the above basis that I encourage everyone present here inclusive of ACTV staff to make use of the talents given to us by God to shape those who will live after us.
  2. May l take this opportunity to thank the MOPSE team who continue to take our members for staff development programs so that they keep in standard and earn new teaching techniques.
  1. As ACTV leadership we guard against obsolescence. Obsolescence is a typical career issue which when not taken care of professionals can lack the up to date knowledge or skills necessary to maintain effective performance either in present or future work roles. We therefore plead with the parents to bear with us on days when our teachers abandon classes, and administrators leave their stations to attend such workshops, all is done to benefit the leaner.
  1. My closest friends are all of you ACTV family and other education stakeholders who aim at promoting learning hence eradicating ignorance.
  1. Education does not only open gates to our lives but brings hope and better life. President Thabo Mbeki, once said, ‘The poor prey on one another because their lives offer no hope and communicate the tragic message to these human beings that they have no possibility to attain a decent standard living’.
  1. Ladies and gentlemen let me warn you, there are people who will attack you for doing good even if they are beneficiaries of your good deeds, never be deterred always embrace the spirit of FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER. I am saying this especially to our learners. Some corrupt children will hate you for non-involvement in crazy things such as alcohol and other forms of substance abuse. Show me your friends I will tell you your future.
  1. Good people lets watch out for devil and his agents are now in our midst. Substance abuse is slowly murdering our communities. When we thought Njenku and heroine, dangerous substance were the worst, a new killer drug by name TRANK aka XYLAZINE have been reported killing people in our societies.
  1. Children, you are not only killing yourselves and disrespecting us by engaging in such but you are also belittling us as your parents and leaders. Those who have engage to this ill-behavior please withdraw and those who have abstained continue to do so and I thank you for that.
  2. As ACTV we will continue to be famous because of our disciplinary policy that fights any form of discipline and this does not leave our members of stuff. When it comes to discipline we do not compromise. We can not speak of building good future leaders when us the present leaders are not in good standing.
  1. Our nation is being robbed of its future leaders. The most disheartening part of all is the fact that an adult somewhere somehow is doing his best in ensuring that these dangerous drugs reach to our children.
  1. It is my plea that the national policy makers give this issue utmost considerations it needs and put in place deterrent punishment to these offenders. Given an opportunity to vote on this I will go with Capital punishment.
  1. Alcohol is for adults but we have parents who share it with their children. I stand to be corrected, what I know is that a child remains a child but we have parents who drink alcohol with their children purporting that these children have reached the majority age.
  • AS AFRICANS LET US UPHOLD AND TEACH UBUNTU.
  1. I am glad that I was raised under very strict rules where any substance that transforms your behavior or gives you courage and bravery, so they say, is seen as a taboo. I see myself safe under those wings with those strict rules, THANKS TO YOU KGOMO, THE GOD OF MOUNT ZION.
  1. May l take this opportunity to warmly thank all ACTV staff especially those who have been picked as outstanding year ending 23/09/23 for their hardworking as they work tirelessly in molding our children.
  1. Never be discouraged by those pursuing their own personal vendetta, when they realize successful traits embedded in you they tend to blackmail you or bring in any form of suppressing you, BUT with your good efforts intervened by God you will always emerge  victors.
  1. If we read the book of Genesis, Joseph was thrown into prison his perpetrators aiming at blackmailing him. The moment he got out of prison, with God’s intervention he became the ultimate advisor to the king. He was now above the king.
  1. This has become the most accurate platform where I express myself as a leader of these organizations telling you how much I appreciate you, how much I value you and above all how much I love you.
  1. Whenever a parent love his/her children will ensure that discipline prevails, on that note I promise to influence the company policy-makers to keep on tightening screws on law delinquents. Parents, you mean a lot to us an organization, you entrust us with your children, we promise you to do our best in regard to your children. We however, ask you to help us in whipping these youngster to line, and also to protect us from other parents who seem not to value education evident by their resistence in collaborating school programs to the extent of resisting fees payments.
  1. May all ACTV members and those of our subsidiary companies be on foot. Now that you are standing let me say this, I LOVE YOU ALL WITH THE BROTHERLY /SISTRLY LOVE.
  1. May I also take this opportunity to thank all my Pastors and all fellow congregants, and friends for all the prayers and guides. People wouldn’t know what a lot you Pastors do to us to get where we are. While I know that all this is God’s power but I thank you for allowing God to use you as He helps through. Personally you have formally and informally taught me a lot. Patience, forgiving, leading in a Godly manner, helping others, living for other people, accepting things as they are and above all praying. It is luck to have you.
  1. It would be very unfair to wrap-up without a mention of a few words pertaining my mother. I know the struggle you went through for me to survive until now. Besides giving birth to me and the ordeals of raising me at this time of age you have shown me exciting love. You have truly stood with us me in particular in very trying times. As a family we have gone through very difficult times BUT as true parent with the help of God you continued to stand for the truth and guided us. I thank God for keeping you this long. I’m told that when you gave birth to me you were already too old to have another child, those who are able to merge science and mathematics can make some deductions, if I am turning 50 today and your first born is of 1947 then how old are you?
  1. I know you are undergoing a healing process for the loss of your young brother whom I know very well that if it was not the death that took him away from us he would be here rejoicing with us, please find peace and comfort on the arms of God MHSRIP.
  1. Last time, soon after this celebration the good Lord blessed me with another soldier, so it’s two of us being celebrated on this great day. Long live my twin brother Mk. Other good news that hit me this year…I am now a granny BUT a very fit khulu, fit like a 16 year old. Also thanks to my family which is very supportive. They have supported me through thick and thin. Thank you Mrs. Moyo for leading the team of supporters. Mixing scholarly life and business life as a parent and a husband is extremely difficult BUT with people like my family members it becomes so exciting. Thank you big team. And thanks to everyone.
