Text: Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 4:15, 1 Samuel 3:19-21
Introduction
As leaders, parents, guardians, and caregivers,
- Today, we explore the importance of speaking integrity as a parent among your children.
- As believers, we are called to model God’s character and speak truth into our children’s lives.
- Train Up a Child (Proverbs 22:6)
The Bible instructs us to “Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Our words and actions shape our children’s understanding of God and themselves.
2. Speaking Integrity (Ephesians 4:15)
Paul writes, “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:15). 5. As parents, we must speak truth, love, and integrity into our children’s lives, creating an environment where they can thrive.
3. Samuel’s Example (1 Samuel 3:19-21)
The story of Samuel teaches us about the importance of integrity and trustworthiness. Samuel’s mother, Hannah, spoke words of faith and hope over him, and he grew up to be a mighty prophet.
4. The Power of Words
Our words have the power to:
- Build or destroy self-esteem
- Create hope or despair
- Foster trust or mistrust
5. As parents, we must choose to speak integrity, building hope and trust in our children.
